Letting you know I did not fall off the face of the earth
Sorry to disappoint some of you! I told you before that I wait until late at night to update and then am to lazy to do so! I usually just keep blabbing away until it is even later plus without saying much!!!! That is the story of my life! LOL
Since my last update I was very much under the weather! Basically Thursday was like the start of it! Friday, Saturday & Sunday were spent at home so nothing thrilling to update!!! Boring, boring, boring. Did you get that? It was boring. We did do the rest of our pumpkins & I will post pictures of them tomorrow most likely. Saturday we had a fire & just hung around. I told myself that I was going to scrap and card make but just felt like doing nothing! Sunday was a better day so I straightened the house (that I had cleaned the day before--dying mind you) and watched my race! I was happy to see my guy lead a lot & pretty happy that he finished 8th. I won't bore you with that story! Don't want those heads to hit the keyboard! LOL (you know who you are)
I would like you all to know that I was up at 7:00 a.m. I got a call from Antonia's teacher on Sunday that I had volunteered for pumpkin math & that is started at 8 a.m. My first thought was I signed up for this??? I never sign up for anything that has to start at the yucky hour. My husband took advantage of that and slept in! He usually gets the girls ready for school since I am a night owl! I had 4 kids in my group and 1 pumpkin! Do you know what it is like to work with 9 year olds and pumpkin guts???? I was ready for a beer by 8:30! Okay 8:15 but who's counting! We had to do math with our pumpkin. Did I tell you I hate math? I certainly do especially before a decent sleep and coffee! LOL We did a bunch of questions like does a pumpkin float. Do you know if it floats? I got ya thinking now! Well, the answer is yes! We also had to count seeds in our pumpkin. Do you know the boys were grossed out by guts!!! And of course the teachers don't think of how boring the kids find pumpkins until they can cut them! We gave ours the name of "Dracula" thanks to me! Sure beat Larry! No offense to the Larry's of the world! LOL I designed the face so that we did not have to argue and they took turns counting it out. I took my digital camera so I will post those pictures tomorrow as well. Gee now I told you the story so what will I say tomorrow????? I hope I can think of something.
Well I am going to quit blabbing as to not bore you or to tell you everything in one post! I have pictures I need to talk about! LOL I am going to get ready for bed since it is 12:50 & I still have to take my pills and lock up the house! Plus in a few minutes the Andy Griffith show will be over! LOL
Oh yeah--I did go back to bed since I did not get to much sleep because of pumpkin math!!!!! TTFN

I can't believe it & plus our weekend
I have to say that I was shocked that the Cleveland Indians looked so bad this weekend! I was just devastated that we lost! I know that some of you will say that I am just whining because they lost but.....it did not seem like the umpire had the same strike & ball zone for Westbrook as they did for what's his name for Boston! I sometimes think it is about the money that will be made! It was shocking to see a stupid move on Casey Blake to not call a ball so that him and Peralta didn't bump into each other causing the ball to fall to the ground! That is a basic thing you learn in the pee wee league!!!! What pissed me off the most (forgive me for that word) was the fact Kenny Lofton was held up at third base by the coach!!!! He defended himself for stopping him but I think I could have made it to home base from where that ball was hit! Lofton has lightening speed (even at his age) and could have easily been safe! I also was ticked at the 2nd base call when Kenny stole and was called out! He was so safe and it showed in the replays but no change in the call! UGH, IT JUST SUCKED! I will be curious to see how many actually stay fans! There is nothing I hate more than a fair weathered fan! I was ticked at people I know changing channels when we were down by one! It is not over until it is over! Plan and simple! I was there until the end with tears in my eyes! All I will say now is there is always next year so watch out and GO TRIBE IN 08!
Sunday, was the NASCAR race which I got to watch some of but then we were off to the covered bridge and a drive with the in laws and brother in law. Just as we were getting ready to leave my driver crashed his car in the wall!!!! That just sucked! This also did not help my weekend! I was just meant to enjoy my sports!
We ended up stopping at a pumpkin patch and farm. My mom in law bought some apples and we took some pictures then it was off to the covered bridge! We took some pictures there also and headed home to watch that so called World Series Game! We took some of our pumpkins (from home) over so that we could carve them! The girls had a blast doing them plus saving the seeds to cook! We love the seeds! I took pictures of the day to share with you! When we did our drive, I did not bring my 35mm camera just the digital (which I don't like well) and as it happens the stupid batteries died (tee hee--hubby's fault) but we did get some pictures! I sure do wish I had my camera though to take the pictures I wanted.
I sure hope you enjoyed my update! I did make some 18 Halloween cards but put them in an envie before I remembered to take pictures of them! Duh! I think I have 2 or 3 that I did not stuff so I will hope to share those with you tomorrow!

I ruined my weekend!!!!
I don't know why I am talking about this here but I need to get it out! I was mentioning that I was getting a job earlier for extra scrap stuff, which is true, but also because we could use the extra cash. I also would be able to buy stuff guilt free! If you know what I mean. Anyway, I decided that I was gonna call the lady from the Coffee Station to check into what is going on. Now, I can tell you I am sorry I did! I wish I hated waited until Monday cuz they are supposed to be bad! LOL I chatted with her for a little while to find out that she is not going to be able to hire me anymore!!!!! She had intended on it and was working the schedule to put me into it. Great I thought, this is going to be fun, then she said she wanted one of the already hired people to work from 12 to 5 (closing) so that she could put me in my hours. The problem was this women was not interested, willing or able to change! So basically, that means I have sat on my duff not trying to get another job (positive I had this one--& did) to find out this one fell through. Does kind of give me a complex now since I am feeling like no one wants me at this point! I was looking forward to doing something I wanted to do not had to do! I could wake up feeling ready to go interested of complaining about having to go. That just sucks!!!! There is a new coffee shop opening not to far from here so I am going to try there. It is not in a pretty location like the other one though. She said she will keep my app on file and has to refer to them a lot in the last couple of months. She said she hopes that I am still as interested for if she gets a chance to have an opening. I am bummed because I really was looking forward to it! I was going to start saving money for the April crop and putting money in the kids accounts and survive on the little bit left! Oh well! I guess I will get over it! Back to looking!
I will hopefully have some projects to show you this weekend or later today! Thanks for letting me whine to you all.

Nothin' new! How boring is that????
It is early in my Friday morning! I always say that I am going to post before midnight but it never works out that way! Tonight's problem was watching my beloved Indians lose! We are still one game up and Saturday we will win so there is no problem! GO TRIBE!!!! I also wanted to stop by the blogs of people who are kind enough to post to me! If you ever want to take a look, you will be amazed with the blog candy for your eyes! There are some very talented ladies that have stopped by! I just was thinking how cool it is to blog because when have you ever been able to find out about people from other countries! I guess in the old days you had pen pals but this is much cooler! I just love to see the ladies from the UK stopping by! Thanks for checking me out.
I am really trying to visit all the blogs that I have listed as well as the ladies that have been here! I hope you have noticed that I have stopped by! It is fun to see what is going on with all of you! I did notice today seemed to be a reflections day for people. I just don't feel like reflecting today! I know not to take things for granted but I also know it is unfair to do say things when they are not meant.
I am hoping to have plenty of eye candy for you ladies since later tonight is the Creative Xpress cyber crop! For those of you who have never been there, take time to check it out! We are a great group of ladies and have such a good time! If you decided to stop or to register let them know that I sent you by! Thanks There are some good challenges listed--I can't wait to try!
I am hoping that next week I can have a little challenge for you all to do. They won't be difficult and it will be just for fun mostly. I may have a few with chances to win raks too!
Thanks for your response about the coffee shop job! I did get the feeling with her that she is kinda flaky but would be okay to work for! I am giving her the benefit of the doubt because she has not been open long and she is working everyday right now! I can understand wanting to get the young ins trained because us old people aren't to tough to work with. I mean I feel like she pretty much has told me I have the job but she is just not ready for me yet! I may check in with her to find out more since I am getting offers to help at school and volunteer for things that I may not be able to commit to if working some. I will never not help with my girls since I have been there for them all this time! I guess I could use the other job that I am looking at and tell her I would like to be with her instead. There is just something about the building it is in and the location it is! It is just cheerful like. It is weird but you walk in and feel it. I could be because it is in the metro parks and is surrounded by the beach and trees! But thanks for you input! Plus you are right, who would want to pass up a great person like me???? I know, ME!
Come back again soon. I hope to have projects for you to look at!

I talk big but that is it
When it comes to posting on my blog, I am just no good! I say please come back to see what is new but never put anything new and make many excuses! I say at night before I go to bed that I am going to update even if it bores you all to tears! Which I am sure it does! But, I never seem to get on until late then realize I should get to bed before it is time to get up! I am going to try to be better with posting and uploading stuff, I hope!
Not to much is new in the Fink world! Same sh*& different day! Plain as that. But I do have a question for all of you. What do you think about this? I explained how I went to the Coffee Station to fill out an application, for more scrapping cash, and she interviewed me on the spot. She told me she would be calling the next week to do follow up interviews and hiring. That week I had not heard from her as of Tuesday so I decided I would call her to express my interest in the position she had. I got a hold of her and told her I was just following up on my interview. We talked for a bit and she said she decided to do things a little backwards and get the high school kids hired for the weekends and trained. She told me she was going to call me but had not done it yet. While we were on the phone she asked me when I was able to start, I told her anytime since I was an at home mom. She then asked me what I planned to do with Antonia during the summer. I gave her a bunch of answers and she said great. I was going to call you and I still will be calling you because I want to get the daytime coverage going then we hung up. I was excited because I thought yes I got the job! I feel this job will be kinda fun. James asked if I was sure she was hiring me. I told him with the questions she asked and telling me she was going to call me she must be interested. Of course, he is not sure. I feel that everything sounded good (though I don't know the pay, LOL) but I still have not heard from her as of Wednesday. I can't decided if I want to follow up again or if I should just let her get things under control with the weekends and such since she does have a few ladies for during the day. So basically she has day coverage but needs more!
With the information I gave you what do you think? Am I crazy thinking she wants little ole me? Alright now just stop there--Meg, Suzanne, Lainey, Stacy etc! I caught you guys before you could say "Well Fink we already knew you were crazy!" So don't try it!!! LOL
Well I hope tomorrow I will have many many Halloween projects and cards done to post so that you all won't die of boredom visiting my site!
Don't forget to show me your Halloween decorations and link here so that I can give a way a small rak!!!!! Oh yeah, I am hoping to do a monthly challenge here some time soon.
Okay, well you all come back now--ya hear! You what I just realized is that I have never spelled the word challenge right! I did spell check to find out I spelled it wrong all my life! DOH!!!!

I can't believe how times flies
I can't believe it has been since Thursday since I posted! I had this bright idea that I would be updating everyday! Well ha ha that isn't exactly happening! I do all the stuff I need to do during the day and figure I will update at night. It is a great thought/plan, sounds good until I go to do it! I sit and realize how late it is and that I love to talk which means I will be here forever. Being here forever is not bad it is the boredom that I create for my visitors! Well I am sorry in advance for that! LOL
Friday the girls were off school and we had plans to visit some friends that have moved a little far for me since I HATE to drive. Well James had to take a co-worker visiting from Germany to the airport. He decided to spend the rest of the day with us so that meant we had a change of plans! He came home and picked us up to go and visit his parents to leave the other days of the weekend for stuff to do. Well we got all ready to go over the in laws, drove over to find out that they went to the casino! It amazes me that they can go to a place like this 3 out 4 weekends a month! Each time they come home saying nope did not win! I told them I would be more than happy to set up the front door to my house to be a slot machine with all the bells and whistles for when they win (occasionally) then of course make them lose which is most likely going to happen and sweep up all the money they have thrown in the slot of the door and buy clothes for the girls, groceries, animal food and beer! This way the money stays in the family and is being spent in better ways then to make someone else richer! It sounds reasonable to me! How about you? We hung around their house then took Taylor shopping at a store she likes by them. She of course found clothes! Like I doubted it! LOL Afterwards we headed back and hung around until they came home visiting for about an hour and a half.
Saturday was spent visiting our friends that we planned to on Friday. The girls are good friend with my friend Betsie's girls! We are great friends too so it works out wonderfully. Her and I scrapped, well she scrapped and I just sat and cut out pictures for my power layout box for when I scrap. It was a nice visit.
Sunday was spent saying I am going to scrapbook or at least take a picture of the pretty wedding card I made, yes Suzanne, I am saying that I love this one but of course that did not get done either! LOL I did get my yard decorated with the tombstones and blow ups and the casket while taking pictures of all of us doing stuff. I will upload those pictures tomorrow along from when we went pumpkin picking last weekend. My parents also stopped by for a visit too. Before they came, James took the winter clothes down from the attic so we could be warm instead of freezing our buns off. Of course he is the typical man, just put them in the drawers why waste the water re-washing and drying them!!!! I said because they have been in containers, folded and squished, they needed to be done. After him doing the yeah whatever, I proceeded to wash them anyway!!!!! LOL He can wear his clothes like he slept in them not us--so there!
I will be posting pictures of our holiday decorations and pumpkin picking and would love to see what you all have done! Please share the link where I can view yours when you post. Who knows, maybe there will be a small rak (chosen at random) for those that let me take a peek!!!!!
I want to thank those of you who have been faithful to my blog! I do appreciate you stopping by and hope you continue to do so!!!!!
Thanks for stopping and you all come back now--you hear!

This is the card I did for the paint challenge at Caardvarks. I painted the chipboard with MM pink paint. The card with window is from a Making Memories kit, ribbon & watercolors are SU and stamp is Stamping Bella! I really enjoyed this challenge and actually like this card! Can you believe it????? I said I like it!
This is the one for Robyn's halloween challenge: I stole the design of the card from my friend and loyal blog poster Stampin Meg! She sent me a card with a cute frog that I just loved so I copied the style for this challenge. The cat with ribbon on the scallop is actually a rak from my good friend (Meg), the cardstock is SU, the pattern paper is DCWV, the trick or treat stamp is who knows, the trick or treat holograph is from the wonderful Meg. I like this one because it came out cute (a first for me) and it was a fairly quick design especially since I lifted it! LOL
The next challenge I did was Cari's friendship one. This one was pretty quick too since I had used the style before. The cardstock is SU, pattern paper- ??, Fiber - a rak, Fiskar scissors, stamp - Stamping Bella, watercolors - SU. This is the new Billboardabella stamp! It comes with several different sayings that you can put in the frame! I have to say that I like this one too! Make sure you are writing this down on your calendar peeps because I said I like it!

My Thursday
Thanks to all of you who posted about my card! I appreciate it. I have to say that I actually liked this card which is so not normal for me! I have another bella card that I need to post but could not get it done today.
Thanks for all your encouragement for the job interview! I have not been on an interview in 11 years so I had no idea what to wear! I just decided to dress somewhat nice and the heck with it! It took about 10 minutes to complete the application then Mary came back to talk to me. She asked me which job I had talked to Barb about and I said 4 yr old class. She said they did not have that position open in my community but she had two jobs there she would be interested in hiring me for. I thought cool I could stay in Bay and only be 10 minutes away! The other sites are not to far away to not consider them too. The one was a toddler teacher-I thought about that one and told her my patients are not the same as when I was younger that and I did my fair share of poop with my two girls! The other job was the a van driver/school age teacher. This one I thought was a good one! I would drive the kids in the morning to the Westerly elementary (where Antonia goes) and then make a run to Normandy elementary then I would be off for a few hours. I thought then I would come back to the preschool and relieve the ladies for lunches during nap time then I would make a run to the school to get the kids and bring them back. This is where she said then Antonia could get on and come back with me! Perfect I thought! She would not have to be alone with her sister. Then I am thinking why would she come back with me? She then proceeds to tell me that I would fill in the school age room until 6 p.m.!!!!!!! I would be working an 8.5 hour day there with a 1.5 time frame off! Basically I would be working 8-9:30 then 11-6. Then she explains that I would need to take classes before I could drive the bus and that would be through Red Cross at my own cost!!!!! I would have to take at least 25 hours of the 45 needed. Then we get to the down and dirty of hourly pay which was okay but then I asked about Antonia during school breaks and she said she could be there full time! Hum...this would really work but then she said as an employee I have to pay for her care but that I get a 50% discount! I am thinking this is one weeks pay check then! My other problem was that the girls would be home T, W & TH by themselves until James or I got home! Antonia has after school stuff so she would not be able to come with me those days! The more I thought about it the more I did not like it! I would have drove the bus and filled in for lunches but I did NOT WANT FULL TIME! I told her 15-20 hours just something to do after being home 12 years! James agreed with me that it was to much and technically Taylor is not 13 until March 08 so we would be breaking the law! I know we could use the extra cash but this was to much for me! At least not to start off!
After the interview I stopped by the Bay Coffee Station since I saw they were accepting applications. I had never been in there so it was cool to check out! It is a small shop in an old home that was re-located. They are open from 7-5 everyday. They serve breakfast like muffins etc then lunch. They have a few sandwiches like chicken salad and a variety of coffee and teas! Of course goodies too! I just thought I was filling out the application but she did an interview too. I told her I was there for the day time position and that I could work M & F until 2:15 & T,W, TH until 3:15 and she was fine with that! No weekends! That is the best part! She said she was looking for an adult for during the day since she has high school kids and such for the weekends. I also think that I could be home during breaks with the girls because the big kids would want the money!!!! She said it is not all doing food and coffee there is cleaning and stuff too & I just laughed and said of course! I do that now anyway! LOL She is going to have more formal interviews next week with more details and things so she would talk to me then and gave me her business card. She liked the fact that I was right around the corner too! I really think this one would be fun! I can make sandwiches and serve coffee!!! To the snobby people in my neighborhood! I don't fit out here very well but they will just have to put up with me! I am hoping this one comes through but of course I will kinda keep looking! I like being an at home mom!!!!! Even if they are getting bigger! Just to do something so that I can buy scrappy stamping stuff guilt free is just what this momma ordered!
Stop back again, I love having you visit! You all come back now, ya hear!

Well it is Monday!!!
I can't believe it is Monday again! I am already tired of school and it is only been what a month? I have always hated schedules!!! But enough complaining about that. We have made it through Monday and now on to Tuesday.
I am so excited because I got to do some card making on Saturday too! Chris' family and mine were supposed to do something together but plans were kinda changed. Her hubby went to pick up his new motorcycle and wanted to do some riding later. I said well if that is the case then we can watch the boys! She said she would ask him. We decided to that would take the kids to the park for a couple hours though. We met there and she said that Don was taking a nap because he got up early and went to bed late. To make a long story short, Don woke up and did not feel well so she just brought the boys over and her scrap stuff!!! James built a fire in the backyard for the kids (he was parent of the night), they played, screamed, yelled and ate marshmellows while we scrapped, scrapped, laughed, scrapped, laughed, complained, scrapped and laughed some more!!!!! Our kids never like leaving each other so everyone complained about calling it a night! After they left I told Taylor I was surprised the boys did not try to sleep over. She laughed and said they tried but have a birthday party the next day so they had to go home! I laughed and she I should have known you all would have tried for a sleep over! LOL At least I got some more card making done and she worked on her neice's wedding album!
Sunday was some what quiet. James and Antonia went to the flea market to walk around this time. Taylor and I just hung out. Later on, the race was on and so was the tv! Taylor tried working on some cards but not sure what she got done. Later that night, I decided to read my Paper made easy magazine to find that it will not be made anymore! They are going to finish the rest of my subscription with Crafts n things but say there will still be over 75+ cards included! I don't like this idea! I don't want an everything magazine! I got this one because it was paper crafts because it wasn't a bunch of other stuff! After gripping and groaning I thought there is not much I can do about it!
Today, was house cleaning day. After finishing my long list of stuff including the kitties boxes, I got online. Not to much was exciting on there. After looking online, I went back to read my email. What do I find????? An email from The Rubber Stamp marked important. I went in to read it to find out that they are not making that magazine anymore either!!!! They have been sold to another company and my subscription will be finished with--take a guess!!!!! Yep, you got it---Crafts n things! Now I am mad! Good craft magazines going out of business and forced to take a subscription to a magazine I don't want!!!!! All of the sudden a light bulb comes on over my head, what the heck am I going to do with 2 of the same magazines? I am going to call them tomorrow and ask them how they plan to fix that! I am sure that this mag will have some good stuff in it but it is not what I am looking for and what the heck will I do with 2 of the same subscriptions? I am wondering how they will do this one.
Now that I finished whining to you all, I will get ready to go to bed. Hey this is actually early for me but after I get done locking up and such it will be later anyway. I hope that tomorrow I will have the cards I made posted for you all to look at something! I am also going to work on the challange Meg has posted at CX for our blogs!
You all come back now, ya hear!
