I am late with ICS card

I am late posting this weeks sketch card! So I will do that first! Dawn did a great sketch again this week! I thought long and hard on this one! Like I don't do that every week! Hee hee

The green tie dye looking background was made by Taylor! She made a pink and red sheet as well. We have really gotten into Stamp TV! Gina K showed how to do this with wax paper! It is
a great spot to learn new things. I will have to show you the card Taylor made with this paper as well one of these times! She is doing thank you cards for teachers.

Well let's see what else to say? Oh yeah my mom was released from the hospital on Saturday which is a good thing because she was ready to beat people! She is on oxygen at home plus her breathing treatments. Of course she went back to work already which just sucks!!!! She was worried about losing her job! My gosh, they can't understand why she missed the week her house burnt down then the week in the hospital! What is wrong with employers these days? She turns 65 on the 6Th of June so she will have medicare for her prescriptions!

They are still doing an examination of everything in the house so no building yet. It is amazing how intense everything is! But right now they are living with us still and things are going pretty well! I guess next week they are taking down all 4 trees because the fire killed them but we get some of the wood for our fireplace! After that the clean up crew comes in the house and gets the inside clean and we go through everything they find to try and identify it for the records. Everything the owned is basically just trash but identifying it gives the insurance company the info to replace it. They will be having a new house built! It is gonna be a nice one too! Best part is the hill they have going into the garage will be level! It was a bear to get snow up it and to cut the grass so I am happy about that! Also they will be getting rid of stairs! They will only have a total of 6 steps compared to the 15 they had! This is great for my mom especially with her breathing problems! It sure looks like a gorgeous house by the plans! I am sure happy for them since this was such a bad experience! Sad part is they never found out what started it!!!!!! It will go as undetermined! But the house went up in less than 5 mins!

Okay I won't keep babbling! I do want to say that so many of you had such wonderful words for my parents! I have truly been blessed by making such great online friends! I think about all of you during my day wondering what you are up to! I appreciate your uplifting words, prayers, positive outlooks and just appreciate you! I am so proud to know all of you! I am also grateful to those who said they would help with cards! I might take you up on the offer but instead of helping with thank yous maybe cards for my parents! This will let them know what great friend I do have!

ICS card plus when I thought things could not get worse

First I am going to start with the Inspirational Card Sketch card I did for this weeks design team. I missed last weeks sketch due to my parents house burning down but did this weeks on Sunday early for a change! I am glad cause Mom went in the hospital yesterday and my brother in law today!!!!! I can't keep doing this! I drove from one side of the world to the other to visit both hospitals! I am pooped! It has to stop because I am not sure I can be super person anymore! To top it off my hubby has been out of town! Oh well when it rains it pours!!!! But I told everyone if someone else goes in the hospital I can't take anymore patients!!!! LMAO

I hope you like my card! I need to make a zillion thank you cards for people that helped during the fire and after! I want to make sure I make a card with many thank yous to the North Olmsted Fire Department for all they did!!!!! I have to say it was nice to see so many people help! But this card is for Jack's mom, Susan, who is out of work right now (temporarily) but was sweet enough to bring by a huge meat tray and breads for us that Tuesday which was such a big help!!!!! I was so glad she did that because I had no idea how hard this was all gonna be! I am so stressed out right now but I am sure that will pass!! I hope, I hope, I hope and pray!

So yesterday as you know my mom went into the hospital with pneumonia and smoke stuff well now my brother in law is in the hospital with chest pain!!!!! I said early I had to go from one town to another just to visit! I have to be the family visitor since James is out of town. I don't mind this at all but it is stressful! I know that in the long run everything will be okay but I am not sure what I did to deserve this all! I know that God has test for you but I wish he would stop!


Well hopefully the next few days will be calm and peaceful! We will see!

So was I wrong thinking that this week would be normal! Well the house fire, yes I know I said burnt down but it stayed standing but it will be leveled soon! I thought this week would be more normal since mom was going back to work and it would relax her some. She got up this morning to get ready but just could not make it! She went into the emergency room and was admitted with pneumonia and smoke damage. UGH!!! I don't know how much more I can handle! I have to say that I am glad she went because she was looking and breathing horrible! She does have lung issues by the way! Oh my things have been crazy!!!

Life is gonna be crazy!

Well a few days after the fire you can kinda try and laugh because it keeps you from crying! My parents got out only with the clothes on their backs. My mom said of course she had her 12 year old jeans, old bra and slippers on for such an event! LOL We saw the early part of the blaze on the news (online) and I am so glad I did not get there to see the flames shooting out! It took 3 hours for 6 cities to put out. The fire was so hot the fireman stood in the street trying to put it out! It was so scary to see those flames that I would have past out thinking my dad was in there! We have been so busy with all kinds of people from different places it is mind boggling! Who needed this kind of shit at 66 and 64 years old! My mom's birthday is in 2 weeks so I guess instead of saying she wants nothing, she will want everything! This is a very trying time and I am sure will get better over the next few weeks and months!

Here is the picture after the firemen had started leaving! It was considered a risk still so they kept a firetruck and police there all night because they thought it might re-ignite! The house will be leveled!!!! There is nothing left of the inside at all! 36 years there just up in smoke!! The 3 oak trees were killed and where coming down today! This is when you know life sucks! Right now they are living with us and we are happy to help! The deck off the back of the house was burnt and that is where my mom called me from! No one knows still what cause it and how it got going so fast! It is a mystery still! My dad metal john boat even melted!!!!! We will move on but sure could use the prayers! Thanks for your kind comments! Pretty scary stuff!

PRAYERS PLEASE!!! MY PARENTS HOUSE BURNT DOWN

I am an only child and have never been so scared in my life! I got a call on the way to my parents from my mom that their was on fire and my dad was inside! I panicked of course but I thank god right now that their are ALIVE!!!!! They lost everything!!!! So I will try to be on but life is going to be crazy!!!! If you could just pray for them I would appreciate it!!!!! Also pray for their kitty who unfortunately was a causality!

I want to wish you a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I hope it is fun, peaceful and quiet! Now if that would just work for me! I was given a giant chocolate chip cookie, flowers, Itunes card and balloon! My youngest made my card with a peek a boo window! It was very cute!

We are officially done with track! Yesterday was conference which was from 9 to 3! It was the top kids in each of the 8 schools. Bay did not finish as well as hoped but Jack did a fantastic job! He placed 2nd in his throwing events! For discus, he threw 115 and the first place throw was 119 which was luck! This kid has never thrown that far! For shot put he also placed 2nd. He missed first by 1/2 inch! He was thrilled to do death to place again this year! I was so proud of him! It was cold but at least it did not rain for a change!! His running team finished 4th but that was still great!

Well no more babbling just wanted to wish you a Happy Mother's day! Hope it is blessed!

It is a gorgeous Tuesday

Finally for track! I have spent the last ones in the cold and rain! It does look like it is going to try and rain but hopefully it will hold off! We have our last 2 track meets this week with conference being on Saturday. I am pretty sure that Jack will make it in shot and discus since he is throwing even better than last year! I also am happy that it is a little warmer than usual too! Makes for a happy track mom! : )

Okay today is the new weekly release of the Inspirational Card Sketch Design Team cards! I will show you the sketch right now:

I thought hard about this one!!!! I was going to do a long card for it but then changed my mind because I decided to try and use a new toy I had just gotten! I will tell you all right now that I was a dummy when it came down to figuring it out! I must of ruined a years worth of paper! LOL I was determined to figure it out. Although I did a card with it I am not sure that it isn't smarter than me! Okay I will show you my card then tell you more about it after!

This is a standard size card with a side fold. I varied the sketch some by doing a different shape and flipping it to the right side. I use the Big Shot to cut the center (instead of a solid oval) and the Curly Label Movers and Shapers! This is very cool! Unfortunately I am not to quick when it comes to using these things! LOL So after much trash and b&*$hing, I finally got it how I wanted it! I actally also have the Curly Label punch for the stamp but decided to use just the stamp and embossing it so it shows through the window! I really love how this turned out! I think cards are so pretty when they have the big ribbon!!!! I am going to go to You Tube and search how to use the movers and shakers dies easier than I did! LMAO! I know it has to be easier than what I did! I also have the new scallop bigz die I want to try so hopefully I will have something to show you soon!!

I also appreciate those of you that replied to my bad news! I was in NO WAY bad mouthing the site!!! I wanted to tell you all what happened and felt this was fine to do. I do not consider it unproffesional that I posted it! To the one person who left the comment with no name that I was unprofessional, I have to say at least I had the guts to give my name (I think I know who it is)! Again, I am not bad mouthing that site!!! I was hurt like anyone else would be and it would be hard to go and play along like asked but I am NOT telling you all not to check it out! Check them out and make your decision!

Also, thanks to those of you who follow me! I appreciate it and will be following you all as well! There are many talented people out there and I just love to see all your work! Now that things are back to normal you will be seeing me visit more often!!!! Hugs to you all! You are stuck with me! : )

A bad surprise for me!

Well I am posting again today, since this morning, with what a major disappointment for me. I have been removed as a design team member at Unscripted sketches! Here is the email I received (It has not been changed in anyway by me):

After reviewing the work of all the Unscripted Sketches artist's for the last few weeks, Sharon and I have determined that some of the work that you have submitted thus far falls short of the goals of the Unscripted Sketches. Upon receipt of this email, we will end your Designer privileges so that other artist's may be allowed to audition their creations for a spot on the team. As you are aware, we are looking for a wide variety of interpretations on each week's sketch. These interpretations may be in how the actual sketch is viewed when rotated, flipped, etc. It may also mean in how the sketch is executed via the medium or in what the project itself actually is (card, scrapbook layout, home dec, etc.). Or some variation not yet realized.We hope that you will continue to participate in Unscripted Sketches challenges. You have demonstrated the ability to communicate well with other team members, meeting deadlines and that you have a good understanding of how to utilize sketches. Unfortunately, we are looking for something more unique and "out of the box" to showcase our site and brand.Thank you for being part of our premiere design team. We wish you the best in all your future endeavors.

This came as quite a shock to me! I did not even get as much as a warning about it. I think there is more to it but I won't get into it! I just feel that I should have been able to submit more than 3 times (last week I could not do after being on vacation)! I was also removed from the private forum and wish I knew what was being said about me. Oh well I guess I will never know! I am sure that many of my followers will drop off my list soon! I hope that most of you stay! I wish them well with there new sketch site but pretty sure I will not be participating in the future. I guess that they should have known my thing was cards since basically all my slide show is that! Well for those of you looking for a DT spot you now know where an opening is!

Well I hope that your day is going better than mine! It was not like there was a compensation for me, it was just for fun! My fun has ended there but I am pretty sure there is something better in the future for me!

I left the box together instead of splitting it like the sketch but use 2 different stamps to make the image. I was thinking that would make it the same as the sketch. This is also a standard size A2 card. I do want to try this sketch again using a different set of stamps! I hope you like it!
