I altered a picture frame for my Mother in laws b-day

Are you all impressed by that???? I would be as I have not felt like doing much in a long time! The only problem I have is that I did it last minute and did NOT take a picture of it!!!!!!! I was in such a hurry to get it done, wrapped and to her house that I forgot! It really was not that impressive! I used Glitter stacks, Cricut to cut the word Grandkids, a couple flowers and a piece of ribbon! Sound boring, huh? Well it was!!!!!

Well Taylor and Jack have been inseparable since going out! Wait he did go away for Thanksgiving from Wednesday to Saturday night! He got home and was here an half hour later! They spend everyday here and he goes everywhere we do just like when they were friends over the summer! My husband has all those dad rules---lame!!!! I told the kids I am boss so to ignore dad and listen to me! LOL Poor dad! If he had his way the girls would live with us until we die! Hellloooooo I want them gone someday! Bad Mom! LOL I made a post about the 2 of them a little bit ago and a visitor (Princess Matilda) said that it is better that they are supervised! I so agree! We all sit and laugh together, watch tv, get annoyed by the little sister Antonia (I have to intervene), play games and then I get to play chauffeur to our house and back! Jack is a good kid! He is 11 inches taller than Taylor, 10 to me & 6 to James so we all have neck aches! LOL He is truly a sweet boy and treats her like the gold she is!!!!!!! I knew when they were good friends in 4th through 6th that they would be together! We spent a lot of time with him this summer especially going to his baseball games! He would get so red when we showed it was funny! Now I just pick on him and he gives me that cute smile with tongue sticking out at me then laughs! I told him I can still kick his butt so he better watch out! LOL

Well I am spending the day tomorrow with my Dad. We are hitting some more tackle shops to sell our lures! I am so excited! Please pray for us that this business takes off! It would mean so much to my parents! They could use the luck!

This is it!

I was so darned determined to make this holiday blog thing it almost drove me insane! I still by switching to this one lost my links and such but that is okay! I can put them back on when I have time. Did I say when I have time???? What the hell is that! I guess that means my late night time when everyone else is sleeping. I am so glad that I was able to update this! I get so mad when things beat me. Is that a problem????

I wish there was more going on. I just get on here and bored you all to death! Now, I sure have realized that my life is totally boring!!!!!!! I am not sure that is a bad thing but not sure it is good either. What a thought to ponder on!!!!!! Okay there I go with the exclamation things again! I am trying so hard to break the habit. I even do it at sites, here and text messaging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh. I will try to finish my post without any. I can do it, I can do it or crap I can do it. That was a close one. Gee, I am really trying to not say anything now for fear of those dreaded marks. Dang I almost did it again............ There I will switch to periods.......................................................
That sure is not as much fun....... UGH. I must be done, done I tell you.

As you can tell I messed up my blog!!!!!

I was trying to get a holiday template on and lost all my links to you wonderful ladies! I then could not get anything back including my old template! So now I am working with a new one! Yuck!!!! I so need to change it. I got the stupid holiday one to work but then it wouldn't anymore. I am so ticked plus angry. I should have left well alone but that is not my style! I promise I will relink you all and hopefully find my favorite links somewhere. I am hoping that if I play around tomorrow I can find holiday stuff and get my blog to where I like it again.

Are you stuffed????

So is that how you feel today? I know I sure do. My Thanksgiving started off with waking up to get everything ready noticing that Antonia was looking very yucky! Great I thought, she always seems to get sick around the holidays!!!!!! I was right she had a fever!! Not much I could do but go in and start cooking. I luckily the night before cut the onions, parsley & celery for the stuffing. All I needed to do was to get the butter, milk & eggs mixed so that I could drizzle it on my stuffing and veggies. I always hate this part which is mixing it all together!!!!! Gross on your hands. I then stuffed Tom and put him in the oven. I cut the skin away from the breast and spread butter all over then inside! The rest of the time I just basted Tom and of course put some in under then skin. My basting stuff was chicken broth, celery and carrot and turkey drippings. Finally, all things were going and my parents arrived for dinner! I have to say that Tom was very delicious & I loved the fact that basting under the skin made him very moist!!!!! After dinner, my mom, the girls and I played Name that Tune 80's which sucked. We also played the TV edition of Scene it but finally went to Scattegories which is always fun! We all played (except Antonia) including the guys. We laughed at our stupid answers!!!! My mom and I had Hunks and Hoes (my moms answer) at the beach (can you tell it was a H), my dad tried to win arguing that L was a Capital! Well yes it is but in this case you needed a state capital so we told him bull, no points for you! We had other funny ones where we all had tears in our eyes. My parents both said it was nice not to have to rush home since they were both out of work! They are enjoying time home and my dad said he was impressed they had no fights yet! LOL Finally at 11:20 it was time to call it a night!

Today we decided instead of sitting at home we would go to my in laws. My mother in law loves to baby the girls when they are sick!!!! Well as we were there I had to start getting a fever! Now that so sucks! I guess that just means relaxing for me tomorrow! I hope I just stay feeling a little low and not worse!!!!!!!! Boy, I need to go to a doctor. I sure have a problem with exclamation marks!!!!!! I wonder if they have a session on how to break that habit? We got home a little while ago so I figured I would come make a quick post on my blog!

I so appreciate those of you that stopped by to say Happy Thanksgiving to me! I hope all of you had a great day. I am hoping that I will get some scrapping done since I have so many gifts to make that I would like to do at least a 1/2 hour a day! I am always wishing I started early each year as I pour all kinds of things out an Christmas Eve! I am going to get things done early. I really am! I am pretty sure that I am.

Happy Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

As plenty of you know I have been very busy! My dad & I spent the day out on Tuesday with things going very well! It just has been overwhelming right now. We are really excited and positive of what is going on!!!!!!! We sure deserve it.

Yesterday was spent getting those last minute things for Thanksgiving. We also spent a good part of the day with my inlaws since we will not being seeing them. I then came home to cut up the parsley, onion and celery for the stuffing. I also make a homemade pumpkin pie and decided to get this done as well. Silly thing would not be finished until 12:45 a.m.!!!! It is now done so I can post really quick here! Whew I am tired. I am going to get up later so that I can get the 18 pound turkey going!!!!!!!!! Busy, busy, busy!

I do want to take the time to wish all of you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!! I hope that you and your family enjoy your visiting. I also hope that you will take the time to realize what you are thankful for even if it seems hard to do. It has been a trying time for me & I know there are things I am thankful for so I am sure there are things for you too!

It is Monday!!!!!

Hi all-
As most of you know things have not been good here lately! I had more shocking news with my family. I guess this is God's way of testing us or maybe making us change things if our lives!

I have been so busy with my dad. As you know he is out of work! He has been trying to get a business started with fishing lures for quite some time but never had the chance to do anything with it other than online. We have been going to stores and showing them what we have plus what we have to offer them if they carry our line! We have had such great reception that if we get this moving, we could possibly make life very different for both of our families!!!!!!!!! This even has me excited! I would love to have something to give my kids someday that they can pass down! I pray that God will change things for us as it has never been easy for any of us. I hope he sees that with our struggling we have kept going & deserve this opportunity. Enough said on that.

My darling Taylor has changed boyfriends again. Okay before your jaws drop open and you think how can I let her do this stuff when she is only in the 7th grade, I figure that if she and her boyfriend are hanging at my house at least I know where they are. I find so many of the parents have children that are lying to them about having a bf that they plan a sleep over and go out with their bf's! Keeping this in mind, I find that I am not wrong!!!! My daughter never has to lie to me ever! Anyway, the reason for the change is because she did not want to get in trouble. I cant explain past that but it was for all the right reasons. She is now dating another good friend that has liked her since the 5th grade and she him. Jack was spending a lot of time here as her friend but once he found out she was free, he asked her right away. They really deserve each other and are allowed to spend time together at both our houses! There is not hiding involved! They are so darn cute together! Jack is about 11" taller than Taylor but he treats her as if she is bigger than him! They have a great relationship that can be open, that is a first for Taylor. Best part is so far her picks have been amazing guys so I am proud of how she makes her choices! Funny is her relationships last so long that I see this one going beyond the usual!!!!!! I am so happy for her! The best part is he now has a Verizon cell phone. Wait he is always here so he wont need it much! LOL

I am hoping that things will allow me to update more and get more scrapping and card making done! I have to get Christmas gifts started too! So hopefully I wont be boring you with anymore long reading! LOL

Getting back to life

Many of you know that last week I lost my long time furry friend! I had Briskette for 16 years and found him past away on my bedroom floor the 5th (I think). The day was completely bad since James was out of town for the week leaving me to have to remove him! I knew that he deserved the burial in the yard! I had to then put him in a nice soft t-shirt putting him in the garage since the cold would help keep him. I spent a lot of my day crying especially if I was in the garage for anything! I am very attached to my pets! He was my illegal alien! James worked 2nd shift many many years ago. I was bored so I decided to get a kitten! Problem was I was not allowed to have pets! So I had to sneak him into the apartment with hopes of not getting caught! Well Briskette decided to peak out windows when no one was home! I had to put double sided sticky tape on the sills!!!!!! We used to eat dinner and lay on the couch to watch Tom & Jerry! Yes, I said Tom & Jerry! What do you have to say about it!!! It never failed that we would fall asleep! He would lay up my arm with his head on my shoulder! Man, I sure wish we had more time together! James laid him to rest under his 2 favorite Christmas trees!!!! He wants to purchase a pagoda to be able to burn a candle for him every so often!

This day happened to get worse when I found out my dad lost his job! You talk about a really crummy day!!!!

I did not realize what losing my kitty did to me! I just had no ambition to do much of anything! Especially this! I have to say that I feel much better than I did. I would like you to know that I did not even visit Creative Xpress but once! I really must have felt bad!

Well I hope to get this moving with things that aren't so depressing! I also hope to get to those of you who I had a great time visiting on your blog! I am sorry that I have not posted to them in a while but hopefully will continue to keep them up!

Made my first altered letter thingy!

I have never altered letters! I have only altered a checkbook cover, calendar (pocket) and address books so I have hardly any experience at it! So please be kind with your comments! Pleeeaaasssee. Basically I was invited to a baby shower of fink family friend. She made my brides maid dresses and the flower girl dress. Her two boys back then were little but now her oldest is in college and getting married. Unfortunately his fiancee got pregnant before hand. Not really knowing them I picked up an altered baby letters kit for a steal! Since I knew they were having a boy, I picked papers from my stash basically not using anything but the letters! LOL

I painted the sides of the letters banana. The papers were from raks and two in the kit. I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper. It was probably easier to use spray adhesive but I do things the hard way! I would suggest not using thin paper since it does not cut well! I used ribbon from SU and the hardware plus rubons from the kit. I have to say, yes Suzanne, it came out nice!

Sorry for the bad picture. Hopefully you can click on it and it will blow up! Not literally but then again you never know! LOL

I have to go and take tangles out of Taylor's hair. Oh yeah, Wendy, I will get to that recipe this week sometime! It is the perfect casserole!
