It is officially my BIRTHDAY!

Well I shared some pictures here of early birthday gifts for me! First one is a gift I got from an online friend of mine Leah! She sent me this package of goodies! Inside was all kinds of fun things. My favorite was the little crochet flowers she made for me!!!!!! It was so sweet of her to think of me! The second picture is from my adorable friend Michelle! I first met her online but was blessed to be able to meet her in Utah!!! I am trying to make a trip out for her birthday! She gave me a cute tin with the things inside! It was so fun! Of course my girls sniffed out the chocolates! LOL The third and final picture is of my SURPRISE GIFT!!!! I was told to go in my scrap room for a minute to come out and find a box in the living room. And much to my surprise inside was a baby kitten!!!! He is all black to replace the one I lost a year ago Novemeber! I now have 2 dogs, rabbit, guinea pig, 1 cat & 1 kitten 13 weeks old! Funny I am very allergic to animals! I am sure my doctor will just love me! LOL She will tell me how it affects my asthma etc! I never listened before so why start now!

I was able to get in the stamp cave last night to make my card for my first DT but I wanted to make sure if I could post it first and I have to hold on to it until the 3rd of February! When I can show you I will share it with you! I am so excited! I really like it too!

Well hate to say that is all I have but I am boring! I know this weekend will be busy since later today I will be at my in laws then to the movies with Jack & Sunday is a Super Bowl party/b-day at my parents!

I have exciting news!

Hey there all! I am sorry I have not posted recently but I have been fighting off the flu the last 3 days. I feel better today but still feeling a little down. Anyway, I have a few updates I need to do! I owe 2 friends who have tagged me about pictures so I am going to do that now!

This is Taylor on Christmas day receiving her coat from my parents! She loved it and was thrilled that my Dad picked it out! He told my Mom that they were going to buy it so they did! LOL Okay I am supposed to tag people too but I know this has been going around for a while so if you have not been tagged then TAG your turn! Oh yeah and next to her is Jack (bf of 15 months soon) like you all did not know that! LMAO

Okay now that I have been a good girl and remembered that on to my exciting news! I have been making cards for a while now but more since I had that kid shatter my right wrist! I found that with little movement I could still do cards more than scrapping so I focused on this! I figured what the heck I would try for some design teams even though I think my cards are to simple! But I have been learning and trying new things so I am happy! Well I was turned down for a few but then a lovely lady by the name of Dawn came by to visit my blog. I think if someone comes to visit and leaves a message I should do the same! She said she found me on another blog and stopped by. Well in visiting her I found out she was starting a card sketch blog and was having a call. I decided to try for it and I MADE IT!!!!! Okay that was my big news!!!! I am so excited that I was allowed to share! Lets see I wanted to share a Valentines day card Taylor made since I have been sick! It is for her friend. I truly think she is so much more talented that me!!!! She wants to find out how to design stamps! Anyway, I will post her card. Also I have a "date" Saturday night!!!! It is not with my husband either!!!! I am going out with Jack! He is taking me to the movies for my birthday!!! We did the same thing last year too! I am into scary movies and so is he but Taylor does not like them so we go! I am looking forward to it!!!!!! Okay now the card!

I made this a top folded card! I just took an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and measured it 4 1/4 x 11 and then scored it at 5 1/2 so that the fold was on top. I wanted to make something different than my standard! Stepping out of the box I guess! This was the sketch over at Mojo Mondays!

This time I took the same card size as Mojo Monday and did it so that the fold was on the side! I wanted to do a fun card and not the standard colors of Valentine's Day! I kinda wanted to use like Easter egg colors so I did! Ha ha

Finally an update for you!

I finally got off my lazy behind and did a card for 2 challenges over at Paper Craft Planet! I have been saying I would get in my card cave but have been procrastinating as usual! I know that you all are familiar with that since I listed one of my things being a procrastinator! LOL

Well I am excited that one of my wonderful friends, Jackie, gave me this Fabulous award! I am so excited that people are actually looking and visiting my blog! This card was based on the sketch challenge at PCP! I used the background stamp from SU for the faux paper for another challenge there also! I sure hope you like it. I am not fond of it but it is growing on me each time I look at it!

Well I am going to cut it short since it was almost 3:30 before I was tired last night for some reason! I just want to thank you all for stopping and I hope tomorrow to have more to show you but who knows with me! I will say I am happy I got this card done since I have NO voice and feel a little sore! Something to show you

Finally I got to the Bat Cave!!!! Hee hee It sounds so much better than scrap room! Actually I get in my Bat Girl outfit, hop on the motor cycle and eat bat cookies in the Bat Cave/scrappy room. I am feeling a little batty!

Anyway, I have so many things to do for this post so I will get started with the wonderful Kreativ Blogger award I received from Jacqueline! She gave me this because she loves my cards! I am so honored to get this! I feel like I should have a speech prepared thanking people like my Mom for bringing me into this world, my kids...just kidding! Wow, that was a lot to do and guess what I have been procrastinating on it! Thanks to all the wonderful ladies that have visited me! I am going to change some of my links! DT call and my take on the sketch

I am trying for a card sketch design team! I have been trying more lately for some reason but not sure what it is! I am really enjoying making cards especially lately and feel like I found the niche I was searching for! I want to get back into scrapping again but since that kid broke my right wrist so bad I just haven't done much! I also think that part of my scrapping is the fact that I like multiple photos on a page because I want them to be center stage not the page. I have a few other sketches that I want to try plus the one my 13 year old sketched recently! I think I will share it with you! She is looking forward to seeing what people do with it so maybe some of you will give it a try and link it her for me to show you! Keep in mind that i had to draw the scallops on paint! Please give it a try!

I'm starting up Inspirational Card Sketches in order to share my inspiration with you.
First and farmost there will be no compensation at this time.I'm looking for 6 designers who love creating cards.
Your term will be 4 months. Term is from Feb-May 2009
If you would love or like to be on a Card Sketch Design Team this call is for you.
Every Tuesday I will send you a card sketch one week in advance for you to work on. You however as a DT member will have to get your creations to me no later then Monday at 12:00pm (noon) Central Standard Time.
You will also get to embellish your cards however you want. My sketches are for your inspiration only. And to help others get ideas on how to use these sketches.

Dang!

Well here I was telling you all that I would do something for you all to see instead of bore you with words! Well I started a card for a DT application but had problems. I made the prettiest flower with my big shot and embossing folder but I used paper I had and it was thin or at least I found out later. Well in stuck in the folder and broke! Okay I thought well no biggie I have not been embossing much maybe it was just me. Well did the 2 attempt put it together with it's ribbon and thank you thingy and was so proud!!!! The next day I went in to work on it again well that is make the card base. I proudly picked up my gorgeous flower and it had two petal fall off! Boy was I pi$$ed! So basically that made me check through my card stock to find that this paper would not be good for toilet tissue!!!!!!! Ugh! Now, I need to really keep a better eye on paper I buy!!!! So hopefully I will get the card made before the deadline on Sunday night! I figure if I don't I will just submit recent stuff you have all seen posted here since before and around the holidays! I think I am going give the dt a shot! I mean what have I got to lose! Chances are not to go in my favor but hey it is the exposure and trying that counts!

Sad but happy it is over!!!

With having 2 birthdays and Christmas to do during the break really makes you exhausted! I am sad that my girls are back to school plus James was off too for most of it but sure glad that I have my quiet time again. With being so busy I just did not want to even make a post since my last! This one is not going to be much just an update on what has gone on. I am hoping to get some cards made so that you all won't be bored!

Well I know you saw we did Antonia's birthday and she that she got a fish tank! That brought on a lot of shopping for fishy's and plants! It is ready now with happy fish! Speaking of that I have to tell you a story that you just won't believe!!!! James took her out to get some pretty fish plus 2 cat fish! Well the one Molly looked pretty rugged (not sure she would make it) and the one cat fish was scrawny. Antonia said she thought the man that helped them was mean and picked those fish unpurpose! James said he was a jerk also. Well the one cat was acting weird plus having a hard time swimming. On Christmas day. we opened our gifts and got ready to go over James' parents. Usually they come to us but we could not arrange it so we went there. We opened our gifts then visited and left for my parents! We have dinner there every year then we all pack up and come to our house to open gifts. My parents want to get out of their house so now you know why we come here. So we came over earlier (than my parents) since we had to pick up Jack. We had gifts for him too! Right away Antonia ran in to check her fish to find the cat fish dead!!! I was in the kitchen and could hear crying thinking she hurt herself. What a day to find that your fish dead! We opened gifts so that kept her pre-occupied. After a long night we hit the hay! Well when I got up in morning, the first thing she told me was her fish was alive!!!! James said maybe he has 9 lives and only used 2! Well he is still alive today! Weird!

Okay will show you a few pictures from Christmas & a picture of my scrappy stuff I got! The first picture is of me getting Guitar Hero (very happy), Jack getting the Wii game from us he wanted and the gun from my parents, Antonia finally got her race track! Taylor got a ring from Jack!!! The girls got the Wii fit from my parents! And my scrappy stuff! The stamps James got for less that 20 cents each so he was afraid they would stink but I stamped them all and they came out nice!!!! Now to figure out how to color them!
