I made a card yesterday for Taylor's girlfriend's birthday and also used the sketch challenge at LAD (Lizzieanne Designs).

Supplies:

Paper: Stampin Up! & Martha Stewart

Stamp: Clear Dollar Stamps

Brads: Queen & CO.

Ribbon: No name! Weird I know

Color: Prisma (blended w/Gamsol) & Tombow markers

I also have some more exciting news I made another sketch design team!!!! We basically found each other by accident but I saw her card at ICS went to her blog and there was a DT call! Not a bunny card---Hee hee

Okay ladies I did NOT do a bunny card but there are more coming so you are being warned now!!! : ) This weeks schedule was a good one from Dawn. I also have seen our next month sketches and boy will I be challenged as well as you! They are great!!!!!

Okay, to my card:

Supplies:
Paper- Inque & SU
Stamps - SU & ? (Not sure where I got the stitching ones)
Button - A rak
Die cut - SU Top Note
Ink - Sugarloaf brush markers, SU & Dew drops

I will explain how I did the card if you are interested. It is a standard A2 size. I did the top note with my Big Shot and then cut it down to where I wanted it. Next I took the stamp and colored it with the brush markers then used green around the edges. I then just followed the sketch to assemble the card. I did not like how it looked so I racked my brain for it seemed like hours!!!!!! I came up with adding the green buttons across the bottom (difference than the sketch) and added the faux stitching! I will show how I varied my card from the sketch this week.
Here is the sketch:

You can see that I did not change it much!! Please take time to join us over at Inspirational card sketches!
I also decided recently that I would join Stampin Up as a demonstrator! I really just want to learn new ideas, techniques and better coloring skills! I keep getting passed over and I do believe it is because my water coloring and prisma coloring needs improvement. I also realized that a lot of people are into cards with a lot stuff on them and I am not that type of card maker. I have a tom boy style which is just like me! I can only do so much to a card and that is it. I also think people are very good at using Photo shops to enhance what they do!!!! I giving you pretty much what I make! I do fix the lighting or crop out what I don't need in the background! I am not very good at using the photo programs! I was a secretary along time ago and boy have things changed! But I like the fact you get just what you see! I will maybe have a few workshops and stuff but mostly joined for the discount! Who knows maybe I will get a following going! If you need a demo, please let me know!!!!! : )
Also, a BIG THANK YOU to those of you who have choose to be a follower of mine & I hope to do a better job with updating my blog!!!!!
Well, I truly have to get moving off this computer because my scrap room is screaming to be cleaned and organized! I will not get on the computer in there!!!!! I will not, I will not, I will not...............

It is sketch card time again!

Hey there all -
It is Tuesday so it is the big reveal of the sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches. This week sketch is a tag! This was fun to do but also challenging! I would have never thought to do this! I told you all before that I need to make Easter cards so unfortunately for you I reveal a bunny card! I have looked all over for Easter stamps and just can't find any that I like or even find them! So you are all stuck looking at my same stamps! My apology in advance! : )

I would love all of you to give this sketch a go! It really does bring out the creativity in you! Make sure you link it to Mr Linky so that all my friends at the DT can come visit your blog! We love to see what everyone has done!

Okay I want to share my creation with you! I know I know but Fink it is bunnies! I warned you! LOL

Sorry for the poor lighting this week! So, this is my take! I like how it finally turned out!
Supplies:
Paper - Stampin Up! & DCWV
Ink - Stampin up! & Whispers
Flower - Prima
Flower lace - Wilton (yes like the cake stuff)
Ribbon - Offray
Pom Pom's - Tails and flower center
Tag card - Making Memories card and envelope templates
This is a standard size A2 card so fits in a normal envelope! That is the best part no extra postage is needed! I actually might duplicate this one for family cards!
Well that is all to share card wise. I have been slacking on getting cards done! Well I do know that life is going to get very busy for me coming up shortly. Taylor and Jack have track practice every day after school and so the meets will start which is every Tuesday and Thursday. So I will be going all over to watch them! This is their second year doing track! Jack is great at shot put and discus! Has quite an arm! I love the fact I have my new camera to take pictures this year! This is so fun because I will be able to see them right away and it is better than our old small camera! Yippeeeeee!
Well thanks for stopping by and visiting me! I sure hope you come by again soon! I actually hope I have something to show you! LOL Not just life chit chat! But that may be all I have! Come on back now you hear! : )

This weeks DT card

I am a little late on posting this because I want to leave my last post up for the SNR people but seems like no one was interested! I do appreciate all your comments on my little box project and card! I also am glad to see so many people interested enough in following my little old blog!

This weeks sketch at Inspirational card sketches

This was a nice sketch because it was so clean & simple but fun to do! I enjoyed this one! I just got some more stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps and the one was a horse so I used it for my great Aunt's birthday but it won't get there on time of course! That is me! But she will get it!

Well here is my take on the sketch!

I am really loving doing long cards lately! I just thought this horse was to cute!
Supplies:
Paper - Stampin Up!, Martha Stewart and Watercolor
Ink - Stampin Up!
Color: Prisma & Whispers
Ribbon: Stampin Up!
Button - ?
Fiber - Rak

This card is an 8 1/2 by 8 and scored at 4. I just thought the bandanna paper would work so well with this card! It was fun to make!

I also have told you all about my new camera!!!! I am so stinking excited that James allowed me to have a chunk of his bonus money! I got a raise this one so I could buy my camera! I stayed with a Canon so that I could use my current 35mm lens which is a blessing! It is funny because I am anal about reading the instructions and I am on page 60 or so! I have no idea how to work this thing!!!!! I am so winging it when taking pictures! LOL Well, I wanted to share pictures of my prize!

I said I would never switch from film but I really did not like the little camera we have because it has been acting up so I got my SLR! I am so happy! Well it sounds so far like this weekend is going to be slow! So hopefully I will get some cards done! I am bummed because there is no race on Sunday this week so that will be a boring day! Hugs to you all!

SNR blog of fun starts today!

I am excited but also nervous about this! I think I am the first blog to post for this 2 week event at Scrapbook News and Review so I did a card and project to show you all! I sure hope you enjoy it!

First the picture of band aid box:

This was done for Taylor's birthday gift card. I know she likes something to open so I thought this would be fun! I have never made one of these!

Supplies:
Band aid box: Rak
Paper: Sunburn
Adhesive: Glue dots
Ribbon: Stampin Up! & Offray

To start off with I measured the size of the paper I wanted to use. I wanted to leave a little white show at top and bottom. I then just cut the paper 3 by 12 trimming off the extra I did not need once I wrapped it around the box. The next step was to put a thick ribbon around so I measure it and the small ribbon by wrapping it around then cutting it to either fit tightly or to make a bow. With the handle I used a 6 in strip of ribbon in colors to match the flowers! I just tied them in a knot! It was that simple and did not take long at all. Next I made her card which is a sketch from Card Patterns.

Supplies:

Ribbon: Offray
Stamp: Clear Dollar Stamps
Color: Prismacolor
Stickles
Ink: Stazon
Cutter: Cricut & Creative Memories
Embellie: JoAnn Essentials

This card is a 8 1/2 x 8 and scored at 4. The stunk was stamped and colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oil. I used orange stickles to enhance the flower! This is done just like the sketch. I sure hope you like it. It was a fun card to do and she really liked it!

Tomorrow look for a new update with my design team card plus pictures of the new Canon Rebel XsI that I just bought over the weekend! I am so excited about it! I am reading the manual to learn how to use it, LOL! I also love the fact that I can use my 35 mm lens on it! Yippee!

Thanks for stopping! Please visit SNR for all the fun!

Taylor's Birthday& IC Sketch for March 2nd

Hey there all my friends!

I want to thank all of you that have become followers! I am just sorry that I have not had more to show you lately! Please forgive me and stay my follower. I had what I felt was a major let down this week with card making!!!! It was very upsetting to me to but I have learned from this! My cards are made for the love of my crafting & for those who receive them! I have decided it is what I love about them not what someone else thinks about them! So I will just keep on doing it and giving them out hoping to make someone not everyone but someone smile!

Here is the card I did this week for Inspirational Card Sketch blog. I sure hope you check it out because it is alot of fun plus Dawn's designs are wonderful!

Supplies-
Paper - Stampin up!, DCWV & ?
Ink - Stazon & Stampin Up!
Color - Prismacolor & Whispers Strokes
Clip - ?
Ribbon - Stampin Up!
Stickles
Cricut

This is the set Bunny Hugs from SU, isn't it cute! I just thought it was so plain so decided to put grass for the bunny to be in and hand made it! It sucked! So I went through my Cricut stuff and found grass so I used it instead!!! LOL Mine truly did suck! I want to tell you that I probably will be boring you all with more Easter cards since I want to get them done for Taylor's friends and family! Sorry in advance!

Well today is officially Taylor's 14th birthday! I can't believe where time went! I was shocked when her and Jack made the year dating which is going to be 14 months in a week wondered where time went then but now looking back thinking where did my little girl go???? It seems like it was just yesterday I was fixing a boo boo or rocking her to sleep listening to her favorite tape! Where does the time go?

Well thanks for looking! Please come back again!
