Feature Friday Recipe Challenge

Hello all-

I sure would love to have you all play with us this week at The Character Cafe Feature Friday! It is an awesome challenge and always a great prize! Please give it a try! You will, I believe the one used on this weeks card is a past image. I made this for my Dad's birthday using the sketch at Spoon Full of Sugar. Unfortunately this particular challenge is now over there. Bummer!

Hello-

I have a lot to share with you all! You probably read my title and said "Why is she thrilled?" It is because I have been excepted to a few more design teams! I am happy to say that I have been chosen for AiFactory, Ch{all}enge Master and another that I can't disclose at this time! I had tried for AI earlier but all positions were filled. Unfortunately one of the members has to leave and I will be taking her place. There is fun, awesome challenges here! I hope you check us out at AIFactory blog. Ch{all}enge Masters is a new ning site that is going to be filled with lots of fun & many many challenges! There is an extensive design team for all kinds of projects! I decided to use word art by Microsoft to put the lettering on! I also used Stickles on the wings to make them look fun! You can't really see it in the photo. Character Cafe Feature Friday & Blog hop

Hey all-

I promise to get my blog post earlier on Fridays!! I made a card last night and needed to get a picture during the day! I recently bought a photo studio box with lighting so I can do indoor shots! I need to practice working with it.

This week at The Character Cafe was a color challenge by Rachel! She picked some great colors that I knew would be a challenge for me! I was a little nervous but I came up with a plan! LOL

The wording around the stamp is word art from Microsoft. I also used a sketch from the Joy of Cardmaking! I love this book! It has all the sketches in it from the Joy of Cards.

I colored the Cheer image with Prismacolor pencils & blended it with Gamsol. The pom poms where the white is Stickles but it is hard to tell. I hope that you all will give this challenge a try! The prize is always outstanding & the images are just wonderful!

I also have a card to show you for a blog hop for my friend Heather! She recently had to seperate from Doodle Street but wants to keep her Fresh Brewed shop active. So she is having a few of us do a blog hop for her! I was lucky enough to get some awesome images and had a hard time choosing! I ended up using Decorate the tree with me.

This is my first attempt with my Copics! I figured I could use them on a simple image to see how they work! I need to start looking for tutorials! I am taking a Copic Class in Novemeber since I won the prize at ICS for the My Creative Classroom! I was so excited to win!!!! This school has some great classes so check them out!

Feature Friday at the Character Cafe

Hey all-

Sorry this is a late post but everything is behind this week since Antonia was sick all week! Ugh! I am so not ready for this season. Anyway on to my card.

This week Feature Friday challenge is a sketch! I love them as you all know! I was not in this Feature Friday team but instead the other 6 of us were to pick a challenge in blog land! I did a sketch of course at Pile it on! This sketch was designed by a 10 year old!!!!! And is it great!

Doodle Street Challenge

Hey all-

I have nothing to show you for this week! I apologize to everyone but we have been under the weather. Antonia came home from school on Monday and is still home. So basically that means no card by me. It sure is an awesome sketch by Cassandra. Check out the work by the Design Team for this week!


We are also very bummed to lose Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs. Unfortunately after much consideration she is unable to continue with us. She does have awesome images so please make sure you stop by! You can also she her cards at Inspirational Card Sketches where she is a design team member!

Let's see things in Fink land have changed again! I got a call from the hubby last Saturday that there was a puppy running around without a collar at Spencer Lake. He hung around James and the girls (dogs) then got in the van. James made him get out so he could leave (in case he was someones dog) but he was running in front of cars! Needless to say we have a new puppy! We did call the Medina shelter in case someone is looking for him. His name is Spencer! He is a good boy and smart! I am hoping no one calls! This means I have adopted 2 lost animals in the last month! I now have a house full! I am allergic to animals!!!!!!! Never stopped me before!

Feature Friday card for TCC

Hey there my friends

Today is Friday!!!!! Why do you care? It is not only the weekend but it is Feature Friday at The Character Cafe! I am having the greatest time here. The girls are wonderful and it is helping me come out of my box!!!!! It has only been a 2 weeks but it has been a blast!!!!! Make sure you stop by for Feature Friday and for Tek Tuesday! This is going to be an awesome tutorial each week. This weeks is the Penny Slider!

This weeks Friday Feature challenge #1 was sewing! I can't even sew buttons! I remember James telling me his buttons were loose so I sewed them! Well I did them so tight he could not button his shirt anymore! I came back with "Well at least you won't loose them!" So there! Needless to say he sews his own!

I decided to use PPetra and TTom! Is this not a cute image or what? I went to online to search Pilgrims and what a turkey looks like! I only know them after they are out of the oven. Did you know they have blue heads????? I told Taylor, I can't make a turkey with a blue head. People would think I am nuts! She said "They all ready do!" Of course she then ran!! : )

Anyway, to my card:

I don't know if it was a good idea to look up my Pilgrim and Turkey because now they look like brothers! LOL I do think it still came out cute! I used the sketch at ICS where I was a past designer! I will post it for there challenge! Okie dokie to deets!

As I said I can't sew. I went and bought a craft machine to sew on cards with but it is still in the box! I used faux stitching! I tell you this group makes me think! LOL How Friday Feature works is the Design Team is split into 2 parts. Half of us do the Friday Feature and the others do a challenge in blog land! This is a card was done by a sketch given to me by Diane. My last 3 cards are using the sketches she shared with me! I love sketches so much!!!!! They make my cards so much quicker! This was colored of course with my Prismacolor Pencils & the heart was glittered using my Sakura pen.

The image was colored with Prismacolor and blended with Gamsol! On the Skippy's hat (New release stamp sneak peek) I used the glitter pen on the white part. The paper Skippy is layered on is from the Glitter Stack! Though I don't think you can tell here! This is a sketch given to me by Diane from The Character Cafe! She was nice enough to share what she had and this was perfect! Thanks Diane!

I love how this came out! At the bottom corner you could put a sentiment if you wanted! This makes the card universal! Oh yeah this card was done with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol! I love how her blue jeans came out!

I am gonna offer a small rak (nothing big) for the person(s) who finds the "hitch hiker" on my card! I found it funny so I used the picture anyway! LOL Can you find it? I will randomly pick a name!
