I AM BACK plus a card!

I am so excited to say that my temporary job is done. I am bummed because I was having a great time with the people there! It is a fun environment, a car dealership, because there is playing around in a fun way! No one is there to tell you something or everything is inappropriate! I have to admit that having the money of my own was also nice! With my few first paychecks I was able to buy a Dell laptop that is all mine!!! My hubby asked me why I wanted one and my answer was because I can take it in my room to watch a movie in bed or to catch up with email! I have to say after not working in all these years I was pooped! I am looking forward to sleeping in again. I am so not a morning person!!!! I love love love my nights!

Yep so I am sitting right now in my comfy chair on my new Dell laptop! It is a 15.6 hd wide screen display, has a dual processor, 4gb of memory, 320gb hard drive and a built in web cam! What does that mean to me????? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! lol James tells me that stuff is all important and I said can I type, put cards on and do email? He said yes and I said good! I am sold! Hee hee! He is into all that computer stuff and I just wanted to be mobile without having to be stuck at a desk! So now it is all mine!!!! One thing that is hard is to get use to this new mouse thingy! I loved the little red button but now I use my finger on the pad and it can be very annoying! Hee hee

But seriously I am glad life is gonna slow down! With working everyday and track meets on Tuesday and Thursday I felt crazy! I know only have to worry about the meets! I did not realize how important it was to me to have a clean house! How lame is that?! I hated having it kinda disorganized before but dirty is just nuts! Between you and me, it is not just the girls that are slobs! I am also looking forward to getting back in my scrap room to make cards! I admire those of you that work and do so much! You are much better than me!

Okay here is my card for Inspirational Card Sketches for this week! Sorry for the crummy picture!
Supplies:
Stamp: Clear Dollar Stamps & Inkadinkadoo
Prismacolor
Gamsol
Flowers: Prima
Rhinestone: Walmart
Ribbon: Offray
Rectangle word: Joann's
This was a fun sketch but seemed really hard when I first saw it! I am the type who tries to leave the sketch as is so this was tough to come up with an idea! I do know that my Mom will love this card no matter what! Cuz she loves me! LOL I hope you enjoy it!
I will be posting more regular now so look for me! I will be slowing down very soon! I also want to do some of the challenges out there myself! Thanks for stopping by as always! I also will be stopping by to visit you all very soon just like I used to!

Man have I been to busy!

Well as you all know we had spring break last week! I had so much to do to get everything ready but still decided to go in the Monday before to work at my mom's place! I wanted to get things situated so that I could get more accomplished when I got back! Anyway, that put me behind the 8 ball big time! I did make for a second decent check! LOL I still have some time to go so that is nice plus I am saving my money for me! Yea!

I also had to whip out my dt cards before I left too! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! I also was gonna be gone during calls so need to get moving. I ended up not doing today's Inspirational card sketch because we stayed away a day longer than we planned. Luckily Dawn is the most amazing women and said to take the break and not worry about the card! I am going to try and get it done this week but I also have 2 tracks meets to go to!

We had a track meet today in the freezing rain and hail balls! Ugh! I am so done with cold. The only advantage I have is that my hair curls more when wet! I don't like that but people say I should be happy about it. Taylor did well and Jack did outstanding! He placed first in discus with a throw of 102'11 and shot put of 38.5! I did take the camera but with the rain I did not use it much!
We had a great time last week in Columbus, Ohio! We visited the Zoo which actually was disappointing! We did the 3 big malls and COSI science center! That was a blast. I will show you some pictures now.

COSI

That is this unicycle bike high in the air! You petal backwards then forward across the air! I did not try it because even though it is 100% safe, I would fall from the sky.

Well you come for cards so I will show you my work for my new design team which is in it second week. I hope you all come and join us!!!!
Here is my card:

Supplies:
Paper: Stampin Up! & Paper Studio
Stamps: Whiff of Joy, Clear Stamps & Inkadinkado
Prismacolors
Gamsol
Stickles
Flowers: Prima Flowers
Pom Pom
Ribbon: Stampin Up!
This was my new stamp that came that morning in the mail! I have to say I am not really happy with it but I was working on a deadline of getting it done early for when we were on our trip! I am sure that either of our mother's will like it though!
Well I am sorry my blog has been lame! I have been busy with this working stuff of which I am not used to! But I am getting extra money for myself so that I can spend it without guilt!!!!! Plus I am so darn tired from lifting and filing that I don't get near the computer! I am sorry in advance and will try to get things situated soon so that I have a better plan! Thanks for always visiting and I promise I will be by to visit you!!!!!! Thanks for your lovely comments each time! I have made some great DT friends so please use my links and check them out! Hugs to you all!

Gorgeous day, Stampin Up Consultant & DT name revealed

Hi there all-

I waited to make a post since I knew that I would have information to tell you! I am excited to be able to share with you the name of the other sketch DT I made! We are called Unscripted Sketches!!!! I don't know that you realize how much I LOVE sketches! They are great for beginner or advance card makers!!!! I love the fact that I can use the sketch however I want. I do find that with the DT's I am trying to stick to the sketch how it was designed to show that they don't have to be changed!!! If you are a card maker and struggle with idea's then sketches could really boost your self esteem! Give them a try!!!!! I am so excited to have made this team!
I am also excited to tell you all that I am a Stampin Up consultant! I have been buying from them for many years and since they had such a great deal I could not pass it up! The kit was on sale 15% off, plus a free stamp set (up to 47.95) and 3 payments! Now that is a deal! I am really only doing it for the discount but hoping to get some shows and maybe people who will be in a monthly club! I really want to learn new techniques and such that I can use to enhance my skills!
What a gorgeous day we are having in Ohio!!!! I even have the window open to let the fresh air in! LOL I don't get my hopes up that it stays that way because this is Cleveland! I am looking forward making our spring break plans! Nothing as extravagant as Williamsburg this year but fun!
Okay now to the reason you all visit me for real! I know you don't come to visit me to hear me babble but to see a card or something. This weeks sketch was another good one from our talented Dawn!

Here is the sketch:

My take:
Supplies:
Paper: Stampin Up, Karen Foster Recycled & DCWV
Ink: Stampin Up & Sugarloaf Brush Makers
Stamp: Inkadinkado
Scallop w/hole: Fiskars
Ribbon: Offray
Embellie: Joann Essentials
This card is a 6x6 size. The background paper is cut 5.5 x 5.5, the purple is 2.5 & pink is 2 inches. The circle was cut using my Creative Memories cutting system using DCWV glitter paper. I wanted to do something a little different with the sketch so instead of using paper I used pink ribbon wrapped around with the bow tied as the paper piece. I also added paper piercing around the cupcake. For the cupcake, I stamped it in pink ink then colored it with my new Tombow markers! I blended it with a SU blending pen then made the confetti using markers! And voila you have the completed card! I sure hope you like it!
I want to thank all of you who have chosen to follow my blog! I really appreciate it and do try to come visit you too! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
I am also going to try to have more cards and such for you all to like at! I just need to find more time. Wait that is not it.....I NEED TO MAKE MORE TIME! I need to get away from the computer and some TV and get back to my creative mode!
Hugs to you all!
P.S. Please not that the link to Unscripted Sketches is not working yet and we are still under construction so make sure to check back to find out when we reveal!
