Inspirational card sketch

It was time to do another card sketch this week but I also wanted to make it work with other challenges out there. So I worked hard to accomplish that without changing our sketch! I was able to do that this week!

Yesterday James mentioned that Taylor had a birthday coming up on Wednesday (next week)! Her birthday always sneaks up on me! I always feel like I should have a few weeks yet but boom there it is! LOL I think it is because February is a short month! I can't believe that she will be turning 14!!!!! Where did that come from??? Seems like just yesterday I was totting her to preschool! She is really a good girl though! Never was any trouble. Okay I won't say she was perfect because boy can a teen have an attitude! If they talked or acted like that when they were little they would get a spanking! When they are older you just grit your teeth and try not to kill them! : ) But for the most part she has a very sensible head on her shoulders. One of the things I have always admired about her is she is very kind and has such a large heart but that also is her biggest weakness! Well enough about that you all came to see a card or something not hear about our life!
This weeks sketch:
Isn't this great!? I was a confusing one for me again this week! I worked hard but I was very happy with my outcome you can see just below!

Supplies:
Paper - Watercolor, Stampin Up! & DCWV
Ink - Stampin Up! & VersaMagic
Stamps - Hampton Art & Inkadinkado
Flower - Prima
Pearl - No clue (hee hee)
Pencils - Primacolors (blended with oil)
Ribbon - C & G
Pins - Making Memories Chloe
Pom poms - Kids stash! Hee hee
I hope you all like my take for this week! I really enjoyed doing this once it was done! LOL I was gonna start all over because I made a boo boo on my card that I am sure you all saw! But I decided that is what makes it mine and not a Hallmark!!!! It was made for someone with love not computer generated!!!!!
I am hoping to get more done this week! There are a lot of great challenges out there but please make sure you check out Inspirational Card Sketches since I think you will enjoy it! Also, check out the rak you could win! Again, thanks for stopping by to visit me even when there is nothing to show you! I appreciate all your comments!
Come on back now you hear!

Nothing new really

Well it is now Saturday for me and I have to say nothing is new! I have been fighting a cold for about 2 weeks now which is driving me nuts! I know to keep a close eye on myself since colds can mean such trouble with my asthma! I just gave up the fighting and saw the doctor! Of course, I was right, I have a bacterial infection which is affecting my sinus! Something you don't know is I can NOT swallow pills! I had a hard time taking the birth control pill! Well my doc prescribed an antibiotic which is no surprise. I asked her right away how big it was! She drew it on paper and it looked smaller than a pea so I thought I am a big girl and this is no problem, I can swallow this! Well James brought them home and the pill is the size of a HOUSE! I will chew her out for sure! I have the hardest time taking them plus no one is allowed to watch me try! I am just glad I finally went because maybe in a couple days I will be able to sleep and breathe at the same time!

I have another card due for Inspirational Card Sketches on Monday for posting on Tuesday! I have been so glad to so many friends visit there and try their hand at it! I sure hope you keep visiting! I am glad because we have the future sketches but I seem to wait until the last minute! LOL I really need to get ahead of the game but I seem to create under pressure! I do encourage you all to stop by and give it a try!

Well I am glad it is the weekend! I am also glad that Nascar is back on!!!! I am so excited that I can watch my races on Sunday now! It is my time so to speak! My girls like Nascar too plus we are getting Jack into it!

I have truly appreciated so many of you stopping by to visit me! It is nice to see you and to come view your blogs! Hope everyone has a great weekend! I also hope you like my blog change! I really want a 3 column but I can't seem to get it to work! Maybe I am just dumb! Hee Hee! Hugs to you all!

I need to update better

Hey there all-
I have another DT card to show you plus some of the things I made for Jack for Valentine's! What's even better is that I can use it for a challenge at a blog! I am going to do another one too! Anyway, I also have my 3rd card to show you all. I must say that this was a confusing sketch for me! I just could not come up with an idea! I thought each week would get easier, LOL! We are able to view our sketches weeks in advance which is nice. I am hoping to get working soon on them! I also hope that I could update the blog more often!! Speaking of Design teams, I have tried for a few more to only be turned down. Actually, I just saw that I was not on the list! I really appreciated the one place took the time to say sorry. I was really thinking that my cards were coming along and that I was going outside the norm or box. I am just tickled that Dawn gave me my first chance! I am just a little confused on what others are looking for! Do you want the sketch to be similar to the one you design or do you want us to run with it? I don't know but I want to do it like it is designed but maybe this is where I am wrong! Who knows! I just am not a girl not big into foo foo type stuff or cards. I just want to do a nice job! Anyway, before I say something I will regret onto another subject. I still do believe that it it is what the person likes not just the ability of the person and a little of who you are!
There are some awesome challenges at many great blogs! I am hoping to get some done this week! Please take a look at Inspirational card sketches. I really would love to see you try this weeks sketch since it confused me! Give it a go! Here is what I did for this week:

Supplies:
Paper - Stampin Up! & Pink Paisley
Ink - Stampin Up!
Stamps - G Studio's & Stampendous
Ric Rac - Wright
Markers - Sugarloaf
Staples - Office supplies
Stickles
This is my take on the sketch and I would love for you to see the sketch for yourself!

Well now I would like to share with you my candy wrapper and basket:

Supplies:
Paper - Karen Foster 100% recyclable
Stamps - Hero Arts (Monkey), Forever Yours & Clear Dollar Stamps
Pencils - Prismacolor
Ribbon - Scrapbooking Printed Ribbon, Darice & Walmart
Cricut Cartridge - Tags, bags and more (for heart bag)
I had fun doing this! I made one for him at Halloween realizing after I posted it the stuff was upside down! Oops! Fink blunder! I cut the monkey out and made it look like he was holding a heart while hanging from the ribbon! I wanted to show a close up but our digital is acting up!!!! Ugh, I need it! Anyway, thanks for looking! I am hoping that I will have more to show you this week but have been really lazy! I also hope I will another DT spot to tell you about but I won't hold my breath! I sure am enjoying being on the sketch DT! I just love love love sketches! Have any good ones you visit please share with me! Hugs to you all! Come back soon!

My 2nd DT card!

I have had this card just sitting and waiting for my blog!!! I finished it Friday night while everyone was in bed and wanted to wake them up to look because I loved it so much!! It took me 40+ minutes to do all the stitching by hand!!!! Actually I was just trying to paper pierce it for another challenge but ended up sewing it instead! I bit off a lot with that idea!
There are some awesome cards for you all to take a look at! Dawn is also giving out a rak this week of a Prima flowers! Go take a look here! Well now to my card! I truly love this card & will be giving to Jack on Valentines Day!

This was a great sketch by Dawn! I will tell you though when I first saw it I was stumped! I did not know what I was going to do. I kept thinking I was just not DT material! I finally buckled down deciding to use my new owl stamps I had just got from Clear Dollar Stamps that day! Then played with idea's from there! And you can see the finished product!

Stamps : Clear Dollar stamp
Pencils: Prismacolor blended with baby oil
Ink: Stampin Up! & Sugarloaf
Heart brads: Rak
Ribbon: Joann's Essentials
Paper: Stampin Up!
Floss: DMC
Foam square (little owl): 3M
Corner punch: Marvy

I sure hope you all like it! I have to say I was very proud of my card! Please join us this week for a chance to win a great rak & do a marvelous sketch!

Okay I also wanted to do some challenges at CPS & Mother Daughter Creations! The CPS is a sketch and the MDC is to do paper piercing in an unusual way! I think I definitely got that one! This is a card for my hubby for Valentine's Day! Okay so here it is:

Paper: Stampin Up! & Bohemian
Chipboard: Making Memories
Glitter: Paper Crafting Collection
Paint: Making Memories (the heart)
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps (Moose is freebie this month) & Autumn leaves
Pencils: Prismacolor
Ribbon: Joann's Essentials
Lace border: Fiskar's
Ink: Pretty in Color (pigment) & Sugarloaf
Embossing Powder: Ranger
I did the paper piercing around the heart for the challenge to be different! Okay now you all have to be quiet and not tell James this is his card! LOL Oh yeah, to get the glitter to stay on I used hairspray!
I am still trying to learn how to watermark or put a copyright on my photos! I just don't get it but at least there is something on them! LOL
That is it for this post! Please make sure you check out Inspirational Card Sketches to see the wonderful cards & to try your hand at the sketch! Hugs!

A card for a DT tryout!

Well I wanted to make more cards today since I had all day but I only got one done! I killed most of the day doing well nothing!!! I call cleaning nothing!!! This evening I was able to get in the stamp cave to do work. Well of course I got on the computer & killed time then did more stuff to kill time then finally got to work! This card I am gonna share with you is for a DT sketch tryout! She sent me an email telling me she had everything and would let me know something in 48 hours! The call is through the 7Th & the announcement is the 10Th! I have my fingers crossed on this one too! I love sketches since they give me a basis! Well on to the card!

Paper - Stampin Up!, Bazzill & Unknown (Polka Dot)
Ink - Creative living & VersaMagic (chalk)
Pencils - Prismacolor
Markers - Marvy
Stamp - This image (Kitty) was a gift from my friend, Leah & Hero Arts
Bracket - Joann's
Paint - Making Memories
Embossing Powder - Ranger
Flowers - Walmart $1.00 bin
Brads - Joann's Essentials

I took the kitty image because I wanted to use it for a card! Then all the sudden I decided if I used the right colors I could use it for the card sketch DT!!!! The polka dot paper seemed to fit in so nicely! I then decided it would be a card for my Aunt (hope she is not looking) so I wanted to use a hi of some sort. Well I had this stitch stamp (which you can't tell) I never used so I thought it was perfect! The rest was using the sketch. I have to say that I do like this card & I hope Lucy does too! The sketch had 4 flowers with a large one in the middle but I used the flowers with the kitty!!!!! By the way the hello is embossed with clear! Well thanks for looking and please keep your fingers crossed for me! Hugs all and good night!

Another card!

Happy Hump Day to you all! I am glad that tomorrow is Thursday because my whole day is open and I am hoping to get things done!!!!! I tried for another dt but did not make it! Oh well, I will keep trying! I really only want to try to have 2 dt's I am on. I don't want to over extend myself! I have another one that is a sketch one that I am hoping for!!!!! I love using sketches!

Anyhow, tonight I wanted to share a card I did for Mojo Monday's card sketch. I needed to do a get well card so I used the sketch for this! My neighbor who is a few years older than me a few weeks ago had an aneurysm and is in intensive care! She loves to garden and lets Antonia bother her while doing so!!!!! I have some other cards I want to get done so hopefully that will be tomorrow! Now I will give you the card!

Paper - Stampin Up! & DCWV
Ink - Stazon, Dew Drop chalk & Stampin Up!
Eyelet Scallop punch - Fiskars
Stamps - Stampin Up! & Hero arts
Ribbon - Stampin Up!
Stickles
Flower Pins - Chole by Making Memories
This card varies the sketch differently! I actually did not realize it was different until I was all done! Oops! I sure hope you all like it! I really don't have much to say which is so unlike me!!!! I hope you will check back & you know that I will be looking at your blogs! Please take time to look at Inspirational Card Sketches! Also I am deciding on a little challenge for all of us but just need to put it together! Hugs!

I finally can show you my first DT card!

Hey there all-
Sorry it has been a little bit for a post but things were kinda busy! My birthday weekend was good! I made out like a bandit! On Saturday my kids gave me a stuffed unicorn (I collect them) & chocolate covered pretzel rods to go with the kitten! He now officially has a name which is Spade! That afternoon I went to my in laws for my favorite dinner egg rolls and pan zit. There was also fried rice. After we ate they surprised me with an ice cream cake! I went shopping with Jack and Antonia and bought some scrappy stuff for my DT gig! Good excuse huh! But it was! Later that night I dropped off the girls and James for the evening then Jack & I headed out on our "date"!!!! He was treating me to a movie for my present! We did the same thing last year too! It was a lot of fun! We have so much fun together and he is just a good kid!!!! It was an okay movie!

Sunday was spent going to my parents for a Birthday/Super bowl party! My mom made appetizers and we watched on their big screen! My parents with a big screen, what is this world coming too! LOL Anyway, my mom brought out my gifts wrapped in of course purple paper! I had given them some idea's of scrappy stuff so I was hoping I would get some! She had me open the one which was the CLIP IT upper tier! Well this is where my mom thought she was so slick!!!! I kinda thought something was up but not sure. She asked me how I would stand it up without a bottom? What will you do etc. I said oh no biggie I will think of something until I can get the other half! She then appeared with a bigger box and when I opened it it was the bottom tier! She is so slick!!!!! I also got a bag of chocolate covered pretzels from them! We watched the game of course rooting for the Cardinals. Being from Cleveland you CAN NOT be a Pittsburgh fan! We then took Jack home ending my birthday weekend!

I have a few pictures to show you! One is of the Clip it which I think I should of just used for snacks! I was thinking it would be better to hang like bags of chips and stuff on! LOL I might still add a few munchies to it!!!!! The second one is of my first ever design team card! I am so excited to show you all! I also want to invite you to try the challenge with us!!!!!
Trust me in this picture you can not see it is full! I have way to much stuff!

Paper - Stampin Up!, The Paper Studio & Studio 17 (watercolor paper)
Ink - Stazon
Pencils - Primacolor (blended w/baby oil)
Stamps - Bella & Stampin Up!
Ribbon - Stampin Up!
Scallop Punch - Stampin Up!
Sakura glitter pen
I had so much fun with the card! I wanted to try and use the sketch like it was designed and I did!!!! I used a little glitter pen in the Bella's hair, on the pink flowers & the candle! Just to add a little pizazz! I am also excited because my hubby is helping to build a structure to do my photos in!!!! He is showing in his own way that he is happy for me! So hopefully I will have been pictures in the future!!!!! I would love for all of you to come and join us at Inspirational Card Sketches blog! Some of you may already know the owner Dawn Baty! I will tell you I am so glad that I made her team! We have some great sketches to work with plus she is just so sweet!
I am beat my friends! We had to go to a funeral today for one of Taylor's friend's sister! She was killed instantly in the crash. Unfortunately she was only 25 and leaves behind 2 children 6 & 3! These are the times you question God but I also know that she had many personal issues as well! I understand why he might have taken her but also confused at why he thinks it was better to leave her kids! I will ask those of you who are willing to pray for her children and to also help Jon and his family get through this!
Okay thanks all for looking! I would love for you to give the sketch a try and link me so that I can come see what you did! I am sure I will find much better work in you ladies then my own! Hugs! Fink
