Sketch 27 at ICS

I am not sure how I did it but I posted my blog post in the ICS DT post!!!! Typed it all up and it looked good posted and it was not there! I checked at ICS and there it was! Ugh now I have to do it all over again!!!! $%0@&%!!!! That is not a nice word! : )

So to do it again, here is the information. Now I hope my old mind remembers what it was. We are going on an outing tomorrow to Put in Bay. This is a little island group we have here. You have to take the ferry over which carries cars and people. We are taking our bikes instead of our car. This way we can travel cheaper around the bay instead of a golf cart or car. Plus it is fun to cruise around on the bikes. We are hoping the weather holds out! It is supposed to thunderstorm in the evening. Last year we had it storm as well. We had to ride back to the boat which is quite a jaunt I tell you! It poured so we were all soaked! I had brought a jacket so my upper body stayed dry. Jack was with us too! We decided that we would all change clothes some how since the ride how is at least an hour or longer! The girls wore 2 of the shirts I bought as souvenirs and put a blanket on their legs, Jack wore the extra shirt James had and his boxers which was a funny thing! He did not want to but I did not want him riding home all wet! I told him to use a blanket then take his soggy jeans off! He was embarrassed I could tell so I told him people sleep in them and they hang out at the mall so what is the big deal. He told me he was glad he did because he was cold! Ha ha

Well to the sketch created by Dawn!
This is my card:
Supplies:
Stamps:
Clear Dollar Stamps
Paper:
DCWV, Bazzill, SU and Polar Express
Ink: Mementos & SU
Pencils: Prismacolor
Ribbon:
SU
Pin:
Making Memories
Punch:
EK Success
As usual I blended with Gamsol. I basically started with the 5x5 card so I could all the layers! I did vary the sketch slightly as you can see. What I basically did was measure each layer about 2 lines smaller each time! I have no idea what that is in inches but I am thinking a 1/4. I suck at measuring!!!! This problem kept me from being an Architect or Carpenter!!!! LOL
Well I am kind of sad that I have not been having a lot of visitors or comments. I am just hoping I did nothing to make anyone mad. Well checking out! I am hoping to update more often with something for you all to look at. I miss doing challenges!!!!

A redo & Sketch 26

I sat here yesterday and typed a whole blog page. I don't know how I did it but somehow it ended up in the Inspirational card sketch dt blog!!!! I tried to copy it so I could post it in the right place but all was lost so I am starting all over again!!!! I am not sure how I posted it there but I managed to do it!
Okay anyway, I was going to update you all about my parents. They got to see the finally plans of what the new house will look like. It will be so much different than the old house!!!! But as of now all there is a hole!!! The 4 pretty, big Oak trees are gone now too! The fire was so bad it killed them in the backyard. It was a hell of a fire. Now they are just waiting for city approval to get construction going.
My mom is still having major problems walking! Two trips to her doctor plus to the emergency room have had no success in relieving the swelling or pain. She sees a vascular doctor on Friday to see if they have any clue what is going on. I hope they find out so she can walk and be out of pain. Speaking of pain, I am typing this with my foot itching and stinging like crazy!!!! I was stung by a bee at Jack's last baseball game yesterday. Boy I tell you I have allergic reactions to them, thank goodness they are severe, and does it ever itch!!!! I am trying home remedies right now for both symptoms. I am getting ready to try the onion since there is a lot of venom in my foot still! It actually itched so bad it woke me up all night.
Well enough of that lets get to what you came for. The sketch and card I did. Well I think you come more for the sketch!
We have a great sponsor this week:

You get both prizes! How fun to stamp and then use the charms. Make sure you do the sketch for a chances to win.
Here is the sketch you need to use:
My take on the sketch:
SUPPLIES:
Stamps:
Cornish Heritage farms, UR a hoot
Ink:
Memento Tuxedo
Black & SU
Papers:
Bazzill, American Craft Celebration & SU
Embellies: Joann's
Square Punch: Creative Memories
I wanted to stay as close to the sketch as possible but I did vary a slight bit by my sentiment over lapping the squares. I did a 5x5 card so that I had enough room to fit the stamps I chose! It was a lot bigger than it I expected especially since I was putting the hat on it! I decided to do paper piercing which for whatever reason I stink at! The circle embellie was to cover my big boo boo! I screwed up the top square and had to redo it and while piercing it (I can't even remember why it was adhered) but I punched through the yellow and needed a fix!!!! This just happened to work.
Well I will thank you all for checking on me! I love all your nice comments and even concerns for my parents! It is amazing what the fire did not only to the house but to my parents and I! In time things will be okay. My parents also celebrated their 45th anniversary!!!! I guess they will rebuild their lives again after the fire but never get to have all that time back.

ICS Sketch 24 & other stuff!

Hey there all-
It is time for our next sketch at ICS! This weeks was challening too for me! Maybe I just have no brain! Okay all you smarties, no comments on that!!!! Well we have another awesome sponsor this week! You get to pick 3 images!

Dawn's sketch:

My take :

Supplies:

Stamp: Clear Dollar Stamps (love them)

Ink: Stampin Up!

Paper: DCVW Summer stack, Stampin Up! & unknown

Embellies: Joann's essentials & unknown

I decided to do a 6x6 card so that I could follow the sketch! I don't know why I don't change them much but I am assuming it is because I am anal! I just like to show they can be done as is.

Thanks to all of you that liked my style! I have just been into fun cards that make you smile versus pretty & beautiful cards! Maybe it is because I suck at them!!!! Who knows.

Okay I have had some questions asked of me so I will take this time to answer them. Now to make sure I can remember them all!!!!! Leah- I bought 72 colors of Copics. Taylor is really getting talented at using them!!!!!! I just love the fact she is doing stuff because she is very talented!!!! I bought mine in Ciao on Ebay to save cost!!!!! Denise- my parents are there until the house is built. Right now it is down but in a stop waiting for the architect to make up the drawings! My dad is really enjoying the apartment!!!!! Very strange for him! I know I am missing someone!!!! Ugh!

Well I am gonna run! Sorry for the boring post! I love you all and I am still doing a rak for my followers!!!!! Come on and make that post to me!!!!! If you posted last week it will add you in to this weeks!!!!!

Ics sketch 24 & 4th of July

Hey there all-
I want to start off saying that I do appreciate my followers!!!! Since I said that I would also like to thank all of you that stop by and leave such nice comments! It means a lot to me! Also thanks for the comments on my style! I like to keep things fun and make someone laugh instead of always having a Hallmark type card! Hee hee Probably keeps me from be picked for design teams or maybe from being published! I sure hope Dawn at ICS does not mind since I design for her!
I hope your July 4th was safe! We had a good time here. On Friday, we went to the firework store to get our supply. We only get a few airborne fireworks but lots of fun showers and spark stuff. We stay kinda of legal, LOL!!!! We do have great time with our stuff! I love roman candles and as I call it booms! Loud booms are my favorite or to say very noisy firecrackers! I will show you a picture of one of our cones that emit sparks and crackles! We always enjoy these!

Well on to our sketch at ICS. I have to say this was a very challenging sketch for me! I was ready to start throwing my supplies! ; ) I am hoping that everyone likes this card!

Here is the sketch:

As usual, I colored the mouse with Prisma pencils blended with Gamsol. I sure do needc to try my 2 brand new box of Copics! Taylor has done wonderful coloring with them but I stick to my pencils since I really just got use to using the Gamsol for blending! I will try them soon I hope!
This week started the demolition of my parents house. My dad said that basically they knocked it down into the family room. I am not sure where they will go from there but when I find out I will give you all an update. It makes me sad to start this week because my parents are moving out! I have enjoyed having them here with us!! They are moving into a condo that is close to us. I guess it is time things move on but it is hard to let go!!!!! The girls are excited because they are moving where there is an indoor pool! I know where they will want to be!
As usual, thanks for visiting me!!!!! Also, I want to show my appreciation for my followers! If you follow my blog, please comment here! I will randomly pick a winner of some blog candy! I don't know what it will be yet but I am sure you will enjoy it! So make sure you comment! If you are not a follower of me, leave a comment anyway for a chance to get a little something too!
Please come back again soon!!!!!!!
