Sketch 31 & Wedding Card

Hey there all-

I am going to start off with a question for you computer guru's! I switched to this 3 column blog as you all know but it is to messy. I look at your 3 columns and they are neat plus tidy. I know this is the case like in yours Maggi! How do you do it? I even preview mine but it still will look totally different when it posts. An example is line spacing, it looks great then on the blog is spaced different! That drives me nuts! The secretary in me wants it neat but I have not been one since my girls were born so I have no idea how all this new stuff works! Heck when I started I was mad I had to learn a new program which was Word Perfect! Did I ever just date myself there! Can you help little ole me? PLEASE!!!!!!

Okay now to this weeks sketch by our very own Dawn at Inspirational card sketches. I loved this sketched! It would be perfect with almost any kind of stamp or occasion! So enough said on that, let me show you it now:

Supplies:

Paper:
DCWV Glitter Stack, ? & SU
Ink:
Whispers & SU
Markers:

Sugar loaf
Stamps:
Scrappy Cat ($1.50 ones)
Ribbon:
Offray
Stickers:
Tim Coffey (spider has googly eyes)

I decided that this would be a great sketch for a Halloween card so it was just a matter of picking stamps! I had just bought theses stamps but could not remember if it was for me or a rak! LOL So I decided to use them for me! I have to say that the pumpkin stamp was hard to use!!! I don't know if it is because it is clear but the ink did not stick well! So when I stamped it on the paper, it so needed help! I decided to make my own vertical lines on the pumpkin face since it was smooth to bring it out some. It still was bland so I colored in the stem with two green colors for some oomph! I then colored an outline around it with orange and yellow in the face! This really helped it out too! The next block was a spider web so no problems stamping that! I was gonna use the spider stamp that came with it but used the cute little 3D stickers you see! I was gonna make the spider dangle from the web but changed my mind. I think because I was lazy! The second picture shows the close up to see the stickers but also that I needed to help the Happy Halloween so I used my glitter pen on it. It is not very clear but at least you can kinda tell versus the first pic! The final thing was to to the ribbon plus I added some little embellies! The bottom candy corn are separate but I put the like that! I am so cleaver! LMAO Yeah right!

Next card I will show you is the Wedding card for my dh's co-worker. He kinda told me at the last minute so had to brain storm and this is what I came up with:
Supplies:
Paper:
Stampin Up!
Stamps:
SU & Hampton Art
Ink:
Memento Tuxedo Black & Pretty Color
Embossing:
Cuttlebug Folder & Ranger
Punch:
Fiskars Fleur de lis
Ribbon:
Joann's
Of course he did not know colors so we winged it! He chose red and black so I went to work with that! I am not sure what I think of it as I am a sketch user usually but I did this one out of my little brain!
Well I will quit babbling but wanted to say that this week was the start of school for us! I can't believe that I have a High school er & Middle school er! Does time ever fly or what! Hugs to you all! I would appreciate the help with this blog layout thing! Don't forget check us out at ICS for this weeks great sketch and your chance to win a prize with us for trying!

Those are great cards, I love the second one!

When you say line spacing, are you talking about the vertical space between each column or the horizontal space between each gadget in the sidebars? I'll try to help in any way I can! :D

I don't know much either about blogs and fixing them, so I paid for someone to do mine!!! LOL. I hope that you get it worked out though.

I love your cards, they are beautiful and love how you make the sketches your own!

I hope all is going well with you! Oh! To answer your question, I resigned from the CX design team quite a bit ago. Almost like 1/2 into our term. I just felt myself going in another direction!

Have a great rest of the week!

Love that Halloween card, Fink! Fun!

Talk about dated? When I started as a secretary we will still using CARBON PAPER and typewriters! LOL I can still remember having to correct all the copies with that white out stuff!
